Dear Faithful Friend,
Jackie and I have just returned from three weeks of ministry and family time in the States. We are grateful to the Lord that our time was so very blessed in so many ways! We ministered in fourteen meetings and shared precious time with both of our families.
Before we left, a brother we respect and love had told us that he sensed that there would be special "God appointments" during our journey and his words proved to be true. It would be impossible to list all that we experienced and sensed in the Spirit, so enough just to say to each of you that prayed for us during our time abroad; "Thank You So Much!" Your prayers were effective in opening many doors before us and we felt your spiritual presence every step of the way.
And to all of you who hosted us and extended so much love towards us, we
want to express a gigantic, "Thank you!" Your homes, your churches and
congregations, your meals and above all your company was a precious gift.
Each of you helped to make our way over those weeks that we were on the
road a truly refreshing time.
And we especially want to welcome all of you who are receiving your first "Zion's Glory Update". We met so many new people and we want to extend a very warm and loving greeting to you. We welcome you to our extended prayer family. We are honored to have you standing with us.
Shavuot Prayer Meeting
This Saturday evening is the beginning of the celebration of the Feast of Shavuot (Pentecost) in Israel. In this unique land, this holiday is of course a national holiday. All Israelis will enjoy a day of vacation. Those who are religious will celebrate the receiving of the Torah, while the secular Israelis will jam the beaches and national parks for a day of picnics and fun.
Revive Israel will be hosting an all night prayer meeting starting from 6PM Saturday until 6AM Sunday in which our congregation will be participating. It is always amazing to be living in the very place of that Shavuot 2000 years ago when the Holy Spirit was poured out with tongues of fire! And it is even more amazing that today, once again there are Messianic Jews in the nation of Israel praying for what will be an even greater outpouring of God's promised Spirit in this day.
We expect brothers and sisters from many congregations to participate and we encourage you to join us in prayer during these hours. (We are 7 hours ahead of Eastern Standard time.) We are also working on getting a live feed up over the internet so that we can have a video link. If we succeed, I will send out the link tomorrow.
There is so much to pray for at this time. The Middle East is in turmoil. There is violence in Syria with over 10,000 Syrian people already killed by President Assad's existing government. Egypt is in the middle of their first free election in FIVE THOUSAND YEARS and the country seems to be polarizing itself as an enemy of Israel. Iran is continuing with its development of a nuclear bomb whose declared target is Israel. Missiles continue to be fired from the Gaza Strip into our southern cities and Hezbollah in Lebanon has declared that they have tens of thousands of missiles stockpiled and can easily target any city or town throughout this nation.
We know that the focus of that outpouring of God's Spirit two thousand years ago was first and foremost outward. Yeshua had told his Jewish disciples to go and wait in Jerusalem for the promised Holy Spirit. After they received God's life and power from above, they were sent forth to bring the Gospel, not just to Jerusalem, Judea, and Samaria but to the outermost parts of the earth.
So we encourage you to join us as we pray for you and for your nation and as we intercede for this nation and all that is going on here. We will be praying for that final End Time outpouring of God's Spirit that will eclipse what occurred 2,000 years ago. This time the Holy Spirit will be poured out on "all flesh" and it will not only bring Israel to their Messiah but will also herald world wide revival and the very coming of Yeshua.
Those of us who live in the midst of this End Time boiling prophetic pot and you who believe and understand the events that are unfolding around us are the only real hope for Israel, theregion and the entire world. So on this Shavuot, we encourage you to take some time and join us in prayer as you are able. It is a privilege to be chosen by God to be alive in this day.
We thank you for your support and love towards us.
We send you our love from Zion,
