We just came back from the Beresheet (Genesis) festival. This is a 3 day New Age-hippie-drugs-free love festival that is held every year during the Feast of Tabernacles (Sukkot). The festival was on the Sea of Galilee just south of Tiberius and was attended by over 10,000 people. Out of over 100 believers there, the Revive Israel team was close to 10 people. We spent most of our time in an evangelistic "Tea Shop" tent. Hundreds of people passed through our tent every day.

This was my first time at this event. What I expected from God and what He put in my heart, was that there be a new beginning (Genesis) for each person, that He would breathe into each one the breath of life just like in Genesis 2:7.

Upon arriving, I felt a spiritual struggle. I lay for hours with a fever listening to the praise in the evangelistic tea shop. When I woke up the next day everything was different. I was completely healthy and started to smile again.

There was a wide variety of people there. What was so amazing was to see that the believers in Yeshua were different from the others. I saw the love of God in our booths. I saw the cooperation and unity that were not present in the other people. I didn't even know most of the other believers before this festival, but there was an oil of anointing and unity. Each one knew his role and his part. The light shone in the middle of the darkness. This was so different from what was all around us in the festival. Around us was something I could describe as a hellish idolatry. It was extreme. Young people drinking, wandering, lost as if they have no parents to take care of them. It was as if there are no parents any more. Mostly 15 - 18 year olds. Spiritual death was on them. They were smoking different things. They were not here. They were cut off. Lost sheep. I walked out in the middle of all of it, almost overcome.

Where sin increased grace increased even more. (Romans 5:20)

Young people crowded into our tea shop, eager to hear and talk, and gladly receiving the free books and New Testaments and CD's. There were conversations happening everywhere. We prayed for many people, and God began to open their eyes. People were very happy to be prayed for. On the last day I testified that it is Yeshua who did something in me and rescued me. Before I got up to speak I did not know what to say, but I prayed that God would receive honor from my lips. The words He gave me were full of joy with the truth that Yeshua is the anointed king, and everyone who was there was "tuned in." I know that His word will not return void, but will accomplish what it was sent for, because it was His alone. One young man in the audience cried.

Another young man asked for prayer. Asher and the Revive Israel team prayed with "E". He was bound up inside, and when we laid hands on him and prayed for him, God broke all the curses on him. The fire of God touched him. He said, "I'm burning. I feel fire."

Someone brought a jar of water and poured it out on him. He confessed his sins and received Yeshua, as did several others. Afterward Asher preached a message of salvation and deliverance. We welcome your prayers for all the seeds sown and growth of the new believers.
