Sha'ar HaKerem Discipleship Center

Sha'ar Hakerem (The Vineyard Gate) is the discipleship center
Revive Israel runs in cooperation with Yad Hashmonah (a Messianic
Jewish moshav). We are privileged to receive young people from all areas
of Israel, all backgrounds, and phases of relationship with God.
The semester that just ended has been our best ever. We are getting closer
and closer to the goals we set for ourselves. For example, this semester
all of our discipleship students grew up in Israel. This is very exciting
because one of our goals is to reach native Israelis. Most of our
leadership team is made up of native Israelis and it appears that is
helping draw others hungry for strengthening their foundations in the Lord.
Below is a sampling of some of the latest students from this semester:
Ami (pronounced ah-mee) - Ami has just finished high school and had
a few months before his obligatory military service. Ami took it upon
himself to use this time to strengthen his spiritual life just as he had
taken time to strengthen his physical body for army service (and boy is his
body strong!). During this past semester of intensive discipleship, Ami
was focused on understanding the work of the Holy Spirit, hearing His
leading, and implementing it all into his daily life.
Boni (pronounced bone-ee) - Boni, is a 19 year old Sabra
(native Israeli) and second generation believer in the Land. He has a deep
understanding of the Word. Boni worked toward implementing Kingdom
principles in daily life and achieving freedom from spiritual wounds of the
Daveed (Hebrew for David) - Daveed has experienced a lot in his 30
years of secular Israeli life. The Revive Israel team immersed him a
couple of months before the intensive discipleship semester began and has
continued pressing in to his relationship with God. Daveed greatly enjoys
spending long hours alone with the Lord. During his time with us, he has
been working on God's calling for his life, God's will concerning
specific personal relationships, and receiving what others have to offer.
Yosef (Hebrew for Jospeh) - Yosef was an unexpected blessing as a
participant in the program who contacted us after seeing a flyer. Yosef is
unique to our program in a few ways. First, he has deep spiritual
understanding and passion. Second, he is an Ethiopian Messianic Jew.
Third, he came to us already stable in his walk with the Lord. In
Yosef's case, I think we received as much from him as he from us.
While we are excited that these indigenous Israelis have been helped to
become a little more like Yeshua, we also know that the road ahead of us is
still long. So rejoice with us that these young people are being prepared
for the harvest that will fulfill the promise "all Israel shall be saved"
and cry out with us for the many others that have not!
