Faith Through Love
by Asher Intrater, , Revive Israel
People will rise to the level of faith you have for them. This is a secret of supernatural friendship and also leadership. You see a person with all of their failures, faults, and frustrating qualities - but can you also see the divine potential in them?
Your faith should focus on that potential, as you nurture and encourage God's image within them. During the process, you have to put up with their negativities - a kind of cross that you must bear in order to build them up. It is painful, but in the spirit of Yeshua, you "bear with them," the different quirks and dis-functionalities we tend to have as humans (Isaiah 53:4).
Words are important. We lovingly speak the truth to people regarding their errors; and we must also "speak by faith" to the potential within them. That is how a good coach encourages young trainees. The divine destiny within another person may be just a tiny seed, but we see it as a mighty tree (Matthew 13:32). We speak to them that way, and believe our words will come to pass (Mark 11:23). We receive them by faith now as they could be in the future (Mark 11:24). We call them by what they are not, as if they already were (Romans 4:17).
It is easier to have faith for a mountain to move (Mark 11:23) or a sea to be quieted (Mark 4:41) than for a person to change. Why? Because a mountain does not have a free will to oppose you. With a human being, you have to apply faith for him even while he opposes the process that is for his own good. The reason he may be in opposition is that sin is always deceptive and self-destructive.
Most people are stubbornly attached to their own faults. Therefore we have to apply faith for others repeatedly over a long period of time. This process demands faith together with an extraordinary amount of patience (Hebrews 6:12). You feel like it may kill you to keep going. But we must be faithful unto death (Revelation 2:10).
To build someone up, we must believe in him more than he is able to believe for himself. That is "faith working through love" (Galatians 5:4). If you "move mountains" but do not use faith to develop people, then you have "faith without love" (I Corinthians 13:2). If you love people but do not have reality-changing faith, then you are acting out of human sympathy alone, which will not transform them to achieve their destiny.
If we put faith (Mark 11) together with love (Galatians 5), patience (Hebrews 6), and sacrifice (Isaiah 53), then we can help people break through into God's calling for their lives. They will be "activated" - put into action, bearing fruit for the kingdom of God - 30, 60, and 100 fold.
Please take a moment to name a few people whom God is leading you to "love and believe" into His calling for them.

Rachel Natanel is a gifted evangelist. Her gift is that she loves people and longs to see them come to know the life changing power of Yeshua. She never tires of inviting friends to her home for food, fellowship and conversation and often does this until the wee hours of the morning. She never misses an opportunity to speak of her faith whether on the street, in the course of her daily routines, or at organized events.
Here she describes some recent personal encounters:
Not long ago, we had a concert at our home. There were more than 50 guests and most of them were of Moroccan Jewish descent like me. People asked so many questions. Some of them expressed their desire to come back and learn more. We are in contact with each other, and I pray that many will return.
The organizer of the concert was so excited by my testimony that she did not want to leave and ended up spending the night. We talked through the night about our faith. Her name is Shiran. I took her to the congregation in Tel Aviv and she loved it. The next Thursday she came again and by Shabbat had read several books we gave her. She wants to continue to come for Bible lessons.
I invited a girlfriend, whom I hadn't seen for a long time, to Revive Israel. She came together with a male friend. We talked for more than three hours with Asher and the team about Yeshua. He had been a religious Jew and left because he saw the phoniness of it all. He was very impressed with the Gospel.
Another time, I invited 15 people to my home for a Shabbat meal. My Orthodox neighbor put large speakers facing my yard and blasted us with such noise that it was impossible to hear. When I confronted her, she told me that she was going to hire the Mafia to kill me. I have tried all that I can to show kindness to her, but she is determined to harass me and stop my work. I do not want to go to the police and make her even more upset. Please pray for the Lord's grace and wisdom.
I recently saw some Orthodox girls giving the book of Psalms to patients in the hospital and was determined to share the Gospel as well. I did go, and gave out small Bibles and other reading material to several patients and told them about Yeshua. One handicapped woman asked me to come visit her at home.
One day my son Chaim came to visit with five of his friends. We sat and talked until late at night about the Tenach and my faith in Yeshua. I made up beds for them all over the house, with the women sleeping in the basement "cave" below and the men on the roof. How I love to have a full house!
I have a niece named Liraz whose husband became a religious Jew. Even so, they have not rejected us. My husband, Gilad, went to the synagogue recently with him. After they returned he opened the Zohar (Judaic spiritualism), and we opened the Bible. My niece told me that what I was sharing seemed so much truer than the nonsense they had heard from the rabbis. I explained that many people follow the religion of the rabbis and not the religion of the Bible. She said she wants to hear more and we are in contact by telephone.
Every time I am with people who want to hear about Yeshua, I become filled with such joy that it is like living water bubbling over. Each time is like the first time that I ever shared my faith!
Please pray for strength and protection for Rachel, Gilad and the work at Beit Natanel. Pray for the Gospel to continue to go forth. Pray that the seeds sown will bear much fruit.
