Come and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; He will teach us His ways, and we shall walk in His paths. For out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. Isaiah 2:3 NKJV

Many church movements are realizing the importance of "... out of Zion shall go forth the law." The center of Yeshua's government is Israel.
In July we were invited to participate in the "One Thing" conference, sponsored by Rick and Patty Ridings; a Spanish speaking "Intercessors for Israel" conference; and the Foursquare denomination's yearly pastors' conference. (The Foursquare denomination includes over 50,000 churches worldwide!)

We were also invited to open the Foursquare conference at the national Israel Conference Center in Jerusalem. Here Asher challenged the pastors on Acts 1 and 2 regarding Yeshua's command for Holy Spirit anointed world evangelism and world revival. The challenge put forth was to receive the anointing in the same place where Yeshua spoke these words and to come to Israel not just to remember the past. Again, this group of several thousand pastors responded with zealous fervor, clearly ready to run with Yeshua's command.
We are excited about this new trend and are expecting more church movements to catch this latter days vision to come and go up to the mountain of the Lord, not to visit old relics, but to renew the word of the Lord from Zion! COME!
The site chosen was a northern tributary of the Jordan River, a natural fresh water pool hidden in a rocky enclave. To get to the site we had to walk down a steep, winding trail. (Unfortunately, at the end we had to walk up it as well, under the blazing Israeli sun!)
After cooling off in the water our families gathered together for a short teaching on the significance of water immersion - a statement of our commitment to give our lives fully to Yeshua.
About 8 months ago we had prayed with Yohana's parents for their daughter who was "sitting on the fence," wanting to go her own way in life. What a joy to hear her state unequivocally that she has now made the decision to go wholly after Yeshua! Yohana's family is from Holland and their relatives are listed as "righteous gentiles" at the Israeli holocaust memorial museum, Yad Vashem.
Katie has been coming to Israel off and on with her mother, an Israeli citizen, from childhood. After a traumatic car accident in which she had a vision of Yeshua, she committed her life to Him. Now she was sealing that commitment with the act of immersion.
Our teenage son Amiel was the third participant. In his simple and straightforward manner he as well expressed his desire to follow after Yeshua.
Although the site was secluded, there were a couple of other families and several young men enjoying a day in nature. Hearing the songs of praise, most were quite curious, and witnessed the ceremony.
Afterwards, when Asher asked if the observers had any questions no one seemed interested. However, when Liat, one of our female team members, approached the young men an intense conversation erupted!
Liat spent the next hour explaining to them who we were, what we were doing, who Yeshua was and what He meant to her.
Yeshua said a light set on a hill cannot be hidden, but will shine on all those around. Please pray for Yohana, Katie and Amiel as they walk out this new level of commitment in their faith. And pray as well for the onlookers who were able to witness the light of Yeshua for the first time.
Please continue to pray for Congregation Ahavat Yeshua, the discipleship training center, ongoing local evangelism, preaching ministry throughout Israel and abroad, our fund for needy believers in Israel, the Messianic Jewish Alliance of Israel and the outreach center in Jerusalem.
