Our vision is to see revival in Israel, as described by Romans 11:26 - "All Israel shall be saved." In order to accomplish that, we believe in teamwork ministry as described in Ephesians 4:11 - "He gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists and some pastors and teachers."
One of the qualities of a five-fold ministry team should be generosity. Paul agreed to that as part of his ministry, as he notes in Galatians 2:10 - "Only that we should remember the needy, the very thing which I also was eager to do." Some apostolic ministries have fallen into the mistake of only "gathering in" to themselves, whereas our first priority should be "giving out".
In addition, an apostolic team desires to help the entire Body of Messiah and the works of the Kingdom in their area, not just what is part of its own ministry or congregation (Ephesians 4:12 -"for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the Body of Messiah"). So we train and equip our young disciples not only to pray for the whole body here, but to give and to go - to go out and serve in works that are edifying everyone.
To this regard we at Revive Israel have sought to support worthy and strategic kingdom projects, both with finances and with manpower. Youval Yanay, Ann C. and Shani Orfani have done a great job overseeing our investment in these projects. Here are some examples of what your gifts and prayers have helped us to support in 2006:
One service we try to provide for those who want to bless the Messianic remnant in Israel and advance the kingdom of God here is to analyze, direct and support projects from our experience of what works "on the ground." It is difficult for those living overseas to discern the ability of local ministries to bear fruit, and sometimes they simply react to advertisements and publications abroad.
Our ministry policy is to give one third of our total budget to the needy or to strategic projects. Our goal was to give 1,000,000 shekels away in 2006 ($230,000 US). We made it up to about 900,000. We hope to go way over the one million mark for 2007.
We endeavor to be a Messianic "SWAT" team, hitting the front lines with intercessory prayer, financial investment and trained young Israeli ministry interns. Thank you for joining in with us.
