The Prophets promise that in the "last days," the nations of the earth would come up to Jerusalem to worship the Lord God of Israel. For two thousand years, these promises seemed like an unachievable dream. The nation of Israel did not exist. Its people were dispersed throughout the entire earth. Hebrew was a dead language whose use was reserved exclusively for religious worship.

Sixty years ago, God fulfilled His promise and in a day, the nation of Israel was born and appeared again among the nations of the earth. God had done the "impossible!"

In 1967, after being "trampled under the feet of the gentiles" (Luke 21:24), Jerusalem, the city that God had given to Israel as its eternal capital, once again came under Jewish control. Today, the population of Israel has swelled to over six million - as nearly one half of the Jews that are alive on the earth have already returned to their promised homeland.

In the week leading up to our May 14th Independence Day, there was an amazing spiritual convergence of events that can be seen as the beginning of a new stage, as we approach the day of Yeshua's coming.

The "One Thing" Youth Conference

Last month, for the second consecutive year, many of the Messianic youth of Israel participated in the One Thing conference. During this three day event, held at the Baptist Village (near Petach Tikvah) Israeli youth gathered together to worship the King of Israel. It was wonderful to see this generation of Israelis celebrating the goodness of their God. From early in the morning until late into the night, the place where they met was filled with the worship and praise of Yeshua.

Gathered in one place, were many of our future Messianic leaders. They are a voice crying out in the wilderness "repent and make ready the way of the Lord." Theirs is a voice that will not be silenced and in them, I saw the promised fulfillment of that which the prophets spoke.

The conference was organized by Rick Ridings and Nick Syrett, and featured worship leaders from around the world, as well as some of the local youth worship leaders, including Eli Chopinsky, David Seguin, and Judah and Jen Morrison. Much of our Revive Israel team was involved in ministry at the conference. Asher spoke on Friday of breaking the curse of Malachi 4:6, and "restoring the hearts of the fathers to the children."

Surely as God looked down on this gathering, He must have rejoiced to see the young generation of saved Israelis who will welcome Yeshua back. They have not yet reached their "fullness" (Romans 11:12,15), but from them and from the ones that will follow, will come forth that cry, "Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord." (Matthew 23:39)

The scripture declares that in the last days, "Many nations will come and say, 'Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob. He will teach us His ways, and we shall walk in His paths.' For out of Zion the law shall go forth and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem." (Isaiah 2:3)

Following the One Thing conference, The International House of Prayer from Kansas City (Mike Bickle, Lou Engle) along with leaders from Israel also led The Call, a twelve hour time of prayer, fasting, worship and intercession in the heart of Jerusalem. For an entire day, over 3,000 believers from Israel and the nations gathered together in fulfillment of God's promise.

The many Christians that came from all over the world were devoted supporters of this nation. During that day, the "Messianic Remnant of Israel," although tiny in number, took a place of leadership, and a blessing was released upon the nations of the earth. Our Revive Israel team worked hard to help organize the prayer agenda and the involvement of the local leaders for this historic "sacred assembly."

Prayers of reconciliation were offered between Christians and Jews. Leaders repented for the sins of our people and of the Church. Blessing was imparted to the Palestinian Christian community. Intercession was made for the salvation of Israel and for world revival. Dynamic praise and worship was led by Misty Edwards, Robert Stearns, Avner Boskey, Karen Davis, and Judah and Jen Morrison.

It is impossible to describe the anointing and power that was present in the Jerusalem Convention Center as these believers, both Jew and Gentile, flowed together in unity in prayer. The authority in the agreement of this combined leadership released a historic breakthrough for the kingdom of God.

World Wide Communication

The amazing drama and significance of these events were further amplified by believers in 214 nations of the earth all participating simultaneously. God TV, which has a deep and prophetic sense of these last days in and the importance of Israel in the unfolding of biblical prophecy, broadcast The Call live. On Saturday evening, God TV made possible the largest Communion Service in history, as believers throughout the earth partook of the Lord's Table together.

One of the most significant aspects of this event was that Asher, representing the Messianic Jewish believers here in Israel, led the service - and he did it in Hebrew!

Yeshua was lifted up as our spiritual High Priest over the Lord's Supper (Hebrews 8:1), and we prayed for the world wide Body of Messiah to come into a revelation of our unity (John 17:21-23).

And Then The End Shall Come

The Jews are being re-gathered to their land. A young generation of believing Israelis is crying out for the return of the Lord. The nations are coming up to Jerusalem, and the promised blessing is pouring out from Zion to the nations of the earth. The promise spoken long ago is being fulfilled. Let us lift up our eyes and look for the soon coming of our Lord and King, Yeshua.
